In 2018, the City of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Continuum of Care (CoC), and Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention (CHIP) partnered to pilot the Supportive Housing Landlord Guarantee Program (a.k.a. the Landlord Mitigation Fund). The program provided financial support to landlords who rented to individuals experiencing homelessness to offset costs if damages occurred. We’ve learned a lot during the pilot phase and are working to refine and relaunch the program as part of our HomeNow rehousing initiative. As we transition, we have temporarily paused this fund and are currently not accepting referrals. We appreciate your patience as we work to strengthen this program and align it with our collective rehousing efforts.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work to achieve the vision that “everyone has the right to be housed and connected to care.” Our landlord partners are a HUGE part of this effort, and we look forward to continuing to enhance our approaches.
