Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) provides funding for street outreach, emergency shelters (essential services, operations, and renovation), rapid re-housing (including rent and utility assistance, case management), and homelessness prevention to keep households from entering the homeless system. These programs provide basic needs of shelter, food, clothing, and other necessities; and provide case management, referrals, rental assistance, and other services to individuals and families who are in need of assistance.
